[Late] October Empties

Happy Thanksgiving! Which means I’m very, very late to posting new empties (again, oops). I think what happened with some of these was that I opened and started using a lot of new products about a half year-year ago, and now I’m just beginning to finish things up. Always a satisfying feeling.

  1. Triple C Lightening Liquid ($27)

This is one of my favorite products of all time. Initially, despite reading articles about this product and trying to be cautious, I commenced using this product a tiny bit too fast, which irritated my skin. But after mixing it with moisturizer, then transitioning it to be used alone under moisturizer, I’ve seen a significant difference in the pigmentation of scars on my face. This stuff is very strong Vitamin C and I need more. This is sort of a high-maintenance product because you’ll have to store this in the fridge to increase the shelf life or else it’ll oxidize! If you’re not about that life, check out the Klairs Fresh Vitamin Juice Drops.

  2. Neogen Wine Gauze Peeling Pads ($27)

Oh gosh, this was given to me as a birthday present (I think) 2 years ago, and has been another one of those best-discovery-products ever. Whether you’re dry, oily or whatever skin type, you need this. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t like this and for good reason. Well priced, does the job, and leaves your skin so even and smooth you’ll be tempted to over-exfoliate (but obviously, don’t.) Tip*: Cut them in half to make them last longer. Full review here

  3. Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner (~$20)

This product is sold on almost every single Kbeauty website+Walmart and for good reason. Gentle, hydrating, and a great companion for anyone’s skincare routine, as minimalistic or extra it may be. I wouldn’t definitely purchase this again!

  4. Origins Gloomaway Grapefruit Body-Buffing Cleanser ($26)

Actually, I caught this discounted at Marshalls for around $15 I believe? I love body scrubs and anything grapefruit so I had to pick it up. It doesn’t leave any greasy residue, just gently exfoliates your body leaving it smooth. It’s not an intense scrub, which is great if you don’t want to be too harsh to the skin. I really enjoyed this, but probably wouldn’t purchase it full price because I tend to like intense scrubs. This other Origins one is the one I’d grab instead (with a discount of course).

  5. Sunday Riley CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum ($85)

I really liked this because of all the textures of Vitamin C serums that I’ve tried, this one was the most daytime friendly. It’s not greasy at all and layers easily under skincare and SPF. I do think with polonged use you’ll see brightening in your skin, but it’s not necessary to spend the $85 to get those same results. This formula uses 15 percent THD ascorbate, but L-ascorbic acid is the gold standard for Vitamin C serums so I won’t be repurchasing.

  6. Natura Brasil Maracuja Exfoliating Shower Gel ($18)

Maracuja. Aka passionfruit. My #1 favorite fruit ever! This smells so good and is a gentle enough exfoliant to be used every day. I don’t really like the cap, which can easily get clogged with product, but it’s somethng I overlook since I enjoyed it so much. This lasted me about 5-6 months I think.

  7. iS Clinical Hydra-Cool Serum (Sample)

Waterier consistency but very hydrating, spreads across the face effortlessly and enjoyable to use. No fragrance or stickiness which I also enjoyed! This full size ($90) stuff is really really expensive though which is the main thing holding me back from getting it. Instead I’d probably pick up a K-beauty serum or ampoule for less.
